Karen is a fourth generation
female entrepreneur whose mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother all started and operated successful
businesses. Educated at the University of Cincinnati and in
Europe, and with many years experience in the chemical industry,
Karen founded K-Chem (abbreviation for Karen's Chemicals) in
1983.
After many years of dinner
table conversation, it became inevitable that Karen's sons would
become an intricate part of the business. Today Karen enjoys
having her husband and both sons in the business. She and her
husband enjoy art and
traveling extensively in their motor home, when time allows.
Reuben, a native
of Europe, immigrated to the United States in 1977,
and aids his wife, Karen, and sons in many
capacities in the business since its beginning in 1983.
In addition to his K-Chem duties he is active in real estate in
the Birmingham area and is an artist specializing in metal art.

Jacob is a
graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelors degree in
Business Marketing. Jacob joined K-Chem, Inc. and has served in
many capacities since 1994. He is a former competitive swimmer
for the University of Alabama. After graduating he joined
K-Chem, Inc. and has excelled in many areas since 1994,
including sales and managing the accounts department. Jacob is
also working toward certification in the pest control industry.
His wife, Maurine, is a special education high school teacher.
They have a daughter, Hannah Marie.
Allen graduated from the
University of Alabama in 1997 with a degree in Business
Management. He has excelled in many different areas at K-Chem,
Inc,. and is involved in sales, purchasing, production and
management of the warehouse. He is married to the former Shea
Wood who is a Registered Nurse.
